Tz'utujil Mayan Ethnomathematics
Participatory research on mathematical knowledge in the Tz'utujil Maya community around Lake Atitlán.
This project documents and systematizes mathematical practices present in the daily life of Tz'utujil Maya communities. Through participatory ethnographic work, the CICC team identifies calculation, measurement and geometry strategies used in weaving, agriculture and local commerce.
